Our History

Founded in 1978 by Marcus Hansen, Hansen Asphalt has become one of the premier asphalt construction companies in Cedar Rapids, Iowa City and surrounding communities. Homeowners, commercial clients, contractors, developers, and engineers trust us for new construction, while property managers rely on our rehabilitation services to maintain and enhance property values. In 2004 Clint Hansen, Marcus’ son, took over the family business. Clint, his brother Jake, and their experienced crew have made it their priority to deliver the best possible paving processes, services, and materials. Clint, Jake and their team pride themselves on their attention to detail and customer service.
